Celtic Launches New Individual Health Plan
July 1, 2008, Chicago, IL -- Celtic introduces the affordable comprehensive health plan, CeltiCare Preferred in the following four states: Delaware, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The CeltiCare Preferred health plan provides quality benefits that protect consumers with a $7,000,000 lifetime maximum in case of a serious illness or injury and with day-to-day first-dollar benefits for wellness care and the healthy lifestyle program.

The CeltiCare Preferred Health Plan is a major medical plan designed for individuals, children and families, ages six months to 64 ½ years. Three plans are available, each offering varying amounts of coverage at different premium levels, giving individuals and families the ability to match a plan with their budget. All of the plans offer a choice of 80/20 or 100 percent coverage with deductibles ranging from $500 to $5,000. The plan also includes a $20 Rx copay with no deductible for generic drugs and $300 for well care (after coverage has been effect 90 days).
The CeltiCare Preferred Select PPO plan offers the lowest premiums, as well as two, $15 copay office visits at any of the doctors and hospitals in the PPO network. Three or more visits go toward the deductible and coinsurance.
The CeltiCare Preferred “Any Doc” PPO plan offers premium discounts in exchange for utilization of the PPO hospital network, but allows two, $35 copay office visits to any doctor. Three or more visits go toward the deductible and coinsurance.
The CeltiCare Preferred Managed Indemnity plan covers a wide variety of medical and hospitalization costs with no physician or hospital network to consider.
All three of the CeltiCare Preferred plans pay 25% of fees for eligible physical health programs such as weight loss, smoking cessation, health club memberships, little league, soccer, etc. up to $300 per covered person, per calendar year. Also available are a term life insurance option, a Rx Drug option and a Supplemental Accident option that covers accidents at 100% up to $500 per covered person, per occurrence.
Special features included in the base plan like the Healthy Lifestyle Program and preventive care benefit makes the CeltiCare Preferred plan ideal for children by providing low cost, quality coverage for kids. More specifically, the plan is perfect for parents or guardians who: 1) are divorced and responsible for health insurance for dependent children not in their custody; 2) have uninsured children; 3) have no employer contribution for dependent children; and 4) are seeking a lower-cost alternative to their employer’s dependent coverage.
